ORYZAE & FRIENDS is a brand founded in Tokyo to give form to Japan’s rich fermentation culture. Our mission is to reinterpret traditional fermented foods deeply rooted in regional Japanese culture—such as miso, soy sauce,
and sake—through a contemporary perspective, and to share them not only within Japan but with the world.
Among them, sake stands as a symbol of Japanese fermentation culture and has earned high recognition across international markets around the world. However, the way sake is enjoyed is still often conveyed through a limited image, mainly as a drink served chilled. In reality, sake offers a far deeper experience, with its aroma and flavor changing beautifully across a wide range of temperatures—from cold, to room temperature, to warm.
Inspired by the cultural background and diversity of flavors found in sake, we established ORYZAE & FRIENDS. Beyond sake itself, we aim to introduce new ways of enjoying sake through a broad approach—from product series related to sake culture to objects that create entirely new sake experiences.
