Obudo

「obudo（オブド）」は甲州印伝の伝統を守りながら新しい印伝作りに挑戦する印伝の山本の新しいブランドです。現代のデジタルツールやライフスタイルにマッチするアイテムを展開しています。obudoでは従来からつかわれている動物革ではなく、植物から生まれた革を使っています。植物成分を30%配合することからうまれた合成皮革「Ultrasuede®nu」は鹿革ような風合いや柔軟さをもち、同じく木から生まれた自然の塗料である漆をつかうことで自然由来の製品になったと言えます。アニマルフリーでありながら革以上の耐久性とサスティナブルな素材で、あたらしい印伝を表現していきます。

Yama, mountain and nashi, pear. Yamanashi Prefecture has long been known for the quality, variety and abundance of its fruits. Mountains and fields, rivers filled with abundant water, delicious grapes, pears, apples, peaches and other fruits that come from nature’s bounty are all elements that typifies the landscape of Yamanashi. Inspired by this beautiful scenery, Obudo is the new brand produced by Yamamoto Inden. New patterns and products have been developed to fit the digital tools and modern lifestyles. Obudo uses Ultrasuede®, an unwoven plant-based material instead of the usual deer leather. This cutting edge material has the texture, suppleness and grain of leather while being vegan (non-animal). Combined with the natural lacquer that makes up the patterns, Ultrasuede® takes Inden objects to a new level of durability.

Yamamoto Inden

印伝の山本は1955年創業。先々代からの技術を受け継ぎ伝統工芸士である山本裕輔が甲州印伝の伝統を守りながら、ゲーム会社とのコラボレーションを皮切りとしたアニメ、漫画、ブランドなどとのコラボレーションを積極的に展開。会社の代表としてまた職人としてコンテンポラリーな文様の印伝などクリエイターとのコラボレーションでこれまでにない新しい印伝の製作に携わっています。毎年数々の伝統的工芸コンクールで賞に輝き2016年にはトヨタ主催するレクサスTAKUMIプロジェクトに山梨代表として選ばれ製品の素晴らしさ、印伝技術の高さを証明しています。1996年には山本誠が甲州印伝 伝統工芸士（総合部門）の称号を取得し、2018年には現社長 山本裕輔が同称号を22年ぶりに取得。現在総合部門では国内唯一の伝統工芸士です。

Inden-no-Yamamoto was established in 1955. Inheriting the skills of his predecessors, craftsman Yusuke Yamamoto perpetuates the tradition of Koshu Inden while being involved in new collaborations with different brands, video game studios, mangas. Being both director and craftsman, Yusuke is committed to developing contemporary Inden patterns and creating unprecedented products. In 2016, he was selected to represent Yamanashi in the Lexus takumi project sponsored by Toyota, proving the excellence of his products and the high level of his Inden techniques. Yamamoto Makoto, the former president was certified as a master of Japan Traditional Craft Koshu Inden (General Section) in 1996, and for the first time of 22 years, his eldest son Yamamoto Yusuke also acquired she same qualification in 2018. As of 2022, Yusuke is the only one master in his field.
