新ブランドkimeriは長い伝統と確かな職人技を持つ広島筆産業の新化粧筆ブランドです。OTONA KAWAIIとクラフトマンシップをコンセプトに、まったく新しくデザインされた木質の軸をつかった折りたためるブラシからアイスクリリームコーン形状をした化粧筆を展開しています。テーマの一つにあるのがトラベリング。貴重な筆を保護しながら旅先でもつかえる折りたたみ式のブラシでした。もともと行商をしながら筆を販売していた熊野の歴史を振り返えりながら、ケースに入れなくても化粧筆の穂先を保護できること、簡単に穂先を洗えること、コンパクトになって、どこでもいつでも使えるユニバーサルな化粧筆を目指しています。もう一つが日常にあるKAWAIIをクラフトで再構築することでした。すでに多くのブランドから化粧筆が生まれています。使いやすく、スタイリッシュなデザインだけでなく、筆そのものがコミュニケーションにつながるような形を探し求めた結果、子供から大人まで幅広くしられているアイスクリームのコーンカップの形に辿りつきました。職人がつくった小さくて美しい、穂先が柔らかくほっこりした筆はまさにアイスクリームのようです。
KIMERI is a new makeup brush brand of Hiroshima Artist Brush Manufacturing Co., Ltd., which has a long tradition and solid craftsmanship. Based on the concept of Otona Kawaii (mature – sweet), the brand offers makeup brushes with a completely new design, from foldable brushes with a wooden shaft to ice cream cone shaped brushes. One of the themes is traveling. The brushes are designed to be foldable and easy to use even when traveling. This echoes the history of Kumano and its merchants who used to travel the roads selling calligraphy material. We wanted to create a universal makeup brush that could protect the hairs without needing a case, while being easily washable and compact enough to be used anywhere. The other theme was to implement Kawaii into everyday life through crafts.
